Who runs Replicator
Replicator is a tool for clipping and remixing static ad creatives, built and operated by Adacted (chris@adacted.com). The web app is hosted on Vercel; data is stored in Neon Postgres. The Chrome extension (“Replicator Clipper”) is published by the same operator.
What the Chrome extension does
The extension adds a “Save ad to Replicator” right-click item on images. When you click it, the extension sends three pieces of data to your Replicator account:
- The image URL you right-clicked.
- The URL of the page you were on when you clipped it.
- Your current popup selections (brand, package, angle, folder, mode, engine overrides) so the clip lands in the right place.
That data is sent to replicator-orpin.vercel.app only. Nothing is sent to any third party.
The extension also stores, locally in Chrome (via chrome.storage.sync), your API token and your last-used popup selections so the popup remembers them between sessions. None of that data leaves your browser except when you clip an ad.
What the web app stores
- Account info: your name, email, and Google profile picture from your Google sign-in. Used to identify you in the app.
- Clipped ads: the image and source URLs you sent via the extension, plus the analyses, templates, and ad generations you produce from them.
- Brands and packages: the brand kits, voice, and offer details you enter into the app.
- API tokens: only a SHA-256 hash of each token is stored; the plaintext is shown to you exactly once at creation.
- Usage events: a per-call record (provider, model, token counts, image counts, cost in cents) so the admin can see monthly spend and enforce per-user caps.
Third-party services we send data to
- Anthropic (claude.ai) — your clipped ad metadata and brand kit are sent to Claude when you analyze or compose an ad. Subject to Anthropic’s privacy policy.
- Image generation provider (GPT Image 2 / Nano Banana 2) — your generation prompt and reference image URLs are sent when you render an ad. Subject to the provider’s privacy policy.
- Google — sign-in is via Google OAuth. We receive your email, name, and profile picture. Subject to Google’s privacy policy.
- Firecrawl — used to fetch and summarize public web pages when you research a brand by URL. Only the URL you submit is sent.
- AI image generation — when you render an ad, your composed prompt and the reference images for that generation (your product, logo, and brand assets) are sent to our image-generation provider to produce the output.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data to anyone.
- We don’t use your data to train AI models.
- We don’t use your data for advertising or to build profiles about you.
- The extension doesn’t read or transmit web pages you visit — it only acts on images you explicitly right-click and clip.
Data retention and deletion
Your data stays in your account until you delete it. You can permanently delete your account and all of its data yourself from Settings → Account. Deleting your account removes your profile and the content of any workspace where you are the only member, and purges the associated images from storage. Prefer we do it? Email chris@adacted.com and we’ll delete within 7 days and confirm. To request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, email the same address.
